Nasu Kasumigajo Hotel & Golf Resort

那須霞ヶ城 ゴルフ&ホテルリゾート

Hotel & Resort Nasu Kasumigajo Golf Club is an 18-hole, 7,010-yard par-72 championship course set against the natural beauty of the Nasu Forest. Designed to flow with the surrounding landscape, the course offers wide fairways, undulating greens, and striking elevation changes that test both power and precision. With its serene mountain setting and thoughtful layout, it provides a rewarding challenge for golfers of all levels. A resort golf course in the mountains of Nasu, near the border with Fukushima Prefecture. The beauty of the course, clubhouse, restaurant, and natural hot springs are unforgettable.

Nature, Strategy, & Innovation

Every hole is separated by forest, giving the feeling of complete independence and immersion in nature. The course plays through mountain terrain with noticeable elevation changes, yet the design balances wide, forgiving stretches with tighter, demanding holes. OB lines reward accuracy, while the outer nine is relatively open and the inward nine requires precision off the tee.

Greens here are large, undulating, and strongly influenced by the slopes of nearby Mt. Nasu—reading them requires more than just line and pace; it requires awareness of the mountain itself. Approaches demand control, as missed greens leave tricky recoveries from deep bunkers or challenging lies. This blend of scenic beauty and technical shot-making makes the course a unique and rewarding test.

Modern upgrades to the course include replanted fairways with durable Kōraishiba (Korean lawn grass), known for its resilience underfoot and consistent lies, and landscaping with Yamabōshi (Japanese dogwood trees), which add seasonal color and shade to the course. Together, these innovations enhance both playability and the aesthetic charm of the round.

Modern Tech & Timeless Service – A Seamless Golfing Experience

From the moment you arrive, every detail is designed for convenience and comfort. GPS-equipped remote-control carts provide precise yardages and navigation, letting players focus on their game. Practice facilities include a driving range, short-game area, and practice bunker—ideal for a warm-up or fine-tuning before the round.

Tee times are carefully spaced at 10-minute intervals, so you rarely encounter other groups on the course, preserving a relaxed and private atmosphere. The level of customer service is also notably high, with professional caddies who guide you safely around the course, offering advice on strategy and green reading for those who want a more personalized experience.

After your round, you can refresh in the clubhouse’s natural hot springs—a simple alkaline onsen with a silky feel that leaves the skin smooth. An open-air bath allows you to relax while taking in the mountain air, the perfect way to complete a day of golf.

Clubhouse, Dining & Top Resort Comforts at Affordable Rates

Inside, Restaurant WOODS offers fresh, well-balanced lunches tailored for golfers, while Restaurant Siena, exclusively for hotel guests, serves breakfast and dinner with stunning views overlooking the 18th hole.

Ideal for tournaments, corporate outings, or group play, the facilities welcome both competitive and casual gatherings. With the adjoining Hotel & Resort, golfers can stay overnight to enjoy elegant accommodations, spa treatments, and fine dining—transforming a round of golf into a full retreat.
