Overview
Fuji Classic is a world-class, 18-hole masterpiece designed by renowned architect Desmond Muirhead. It is famous for being the closest golf course to Mt. Fuji, and certainly has the best views of the revered World Heritage site, offering views of Fuji-San from every hole! The course has an open feel and resembles a links-style layout—but at an elevation of 1,200 meters!
The course design is inspired by the prolific Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai and his renowned series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. Each of the 18 holes is influenced by one of his artworks, creating a unique and visually stunning layout.
Fuji Classic is longer than most courses in Japan, with the black tees presenting a challenging 7,179-yard layout. Additionally, there are four other tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Play style follows the standard practice of using carts, with the option to hire a caddy for a more guided experience.
