ISSUE 2/2007 8 November, 2007

Dear Fellow Golfer,

Welcome to the Golf-in-Japan.com e-newsletter.
As we head into the remainder of the Autumn golf season we hope you have enjoyed playing some of the top notch 2,344 courses on offer here in Japan this year. We trust you are already familiar with our web site (if not, click the links above to learn more). This bulletin is designed to raise the awareness of the international community about GIJ (the best English language source of information on golf in Japan in the world!) and help make it better by encouraging you to get involved and rate courses you have played allowing other golfers insight into selecting a suitable course for their next golf outing. Enjoy the site and pass it to your friends!

The GiJ Golf Survey 2007

As we would like to know more about our readers and their interests, The Golf-in-Japan.com team made an online survey from July 7 to August 15, 2007. We received responses from a very diverse demographic representing a good cross section of the international business community here in Japan.

This survey was aimed at golfers residing in Japan or those who have experienced golf in Japan on several occasions. The responses should also reflect the golfing experiences in Japan (except in questions related to golf travel)

Among those who responded to the survey, we made a drawing for a pair of Ecco's World Class top of the line leather & Gortex shoes with a retail value of over 50,000 yen. The winner was George Johnson.

Nov. 2, 2007 - A Pebbles' Throw from Tokyo - Kawana Hotel & Golf Club
by Bennett Galloway
The Kawana hotel opened its doors in 1936 and features two of the finest coastal links courses you'll find anywhere in the world. In its heyday the resort was a buzz with valets scurrying about in service of their cherished customers who comprised the most discerning of Japanese and overseas society.
Nov. 8, 2007 - Midriffs Short Shorts and a Slap in the Face
by Willy Badger
If I had a love child with Nancy Lopez in University, our daughter would be twenty and playing on the LPGA tour. That would make me a concerned Daddy.
"She wears short shorts If you dare wear short shorts NAIR for short shorts."
Nisekogolf.com

Nisekogolf.com would like to thank all golfers and families who came out and enjoyed some of our fresh air golfing and other activities in Niseko during our initial year of providing golf tours to the Niseko region. It was a great summer of golf and Nisekogolf.com surpassed all our expectations for the popularity of golf tours to our undiscovered golfing region. This would not have been possible without the help of Golf in Japan and their patronage. Whether you took part in an event that Nisekogolf.com supported, relaxed on a "Weekend Recharge" package tour, or took part in our fast paced "Executive Challenge" tour, we thank you!

Unfortunately Mother Nature is bringing the golfing season here to an end and the golf clubs are getting packed away for another year while the skis and snowboards make their way out of storage for what promises to be another great ski season. Come see why Niseko has been labeled "Asia's answer to Whistler", and experience some of the world's finest powder, it's only an hour flight from Tokyo!

To save on accommodation you can book direct with Niseko Management Service or for your complete custom holiday - Niseko Powder Connection - "Your Niseko Specialist"
Hope to see you on the slopes or tee it up with you next summer!
